SHADOW

Follows in and about.

Not leaving in the dark.

Does he not see the time ticking by?

In the mid of night, wandering in the park.

Can’t he see, it follows wherever he goes?

In the darkness of night and light of dawn.

A black figure lying on the floor,

moves as he does.

Like having a stalker.

One that he knows will not leave.

Dragging his secrets and past wherever he goes.

He wants it to go.

But again, he’s afraid to be alone.

The past that it carries, holds him tight, he can’t breathe.

But once he’s gone, the shadow shall be free.
