Shades Of Purple

You're a shade of purple on the inside

Capable of an intergalactic violet

A shade I invented in my head

Dazzled up more than ultraviolet

But you're stuck in the blacks of you

You need to mix in some red and blue

And darling, you need a shade of me

To pull you closer to the purple you could be

For I am pure honeydew

One dive in, your strokes come clean

So lose yourself in this surreal high

Show me what colors you can be

You're alive in my fool's paradise

Painting my skies lilac and pink serene

Sun shines brighter as you turn around

As the grays dust into blue and green

For my world is an unembellished land

So if you wish to paint again

Stroke my soul dancing under the moonlight

With my crystal heart buried in the grain
