“Shades of Grey” by Hettie Potgieter

The sorrow in my tears,

is like running away from my fears.

The magical haunting of my mind,

in the search of whatever I need to find!

I crawl, I fall, I sometimes died…

My glass wall shattered with many who lied!

I walk in empty streets…

Shadows the only true that greets.

These demons are my cage,

Wreaking havoc with all the buried rage!

Where is that illusive light?

To make me feel all shiny and bright?

Searching forever and a day…

Until then my world is filled with shades of grey!
