Seven Haiku’s, Seven Gates

The Earth laughs

At the absurdity, You

Claim permanency.

Immortality is ageless

But even the stars taste death

Who is to save you?

Greater men have come

Conquered and devoured lands

Ask, where are they now?

Men once considered 

Gods, now forgotten, whispers

On the wind, all lost

This land has witnessed

More arrogance than Death,

The great are humble.

Death claims you,

No amount of gold will save

Your blackened soul.

Justice lies in death

Demanding every cost owed

You shall have to pay

-The seven gates of the afterlife
