Service - Healing Soul

By Himani Agarwal

Serving mankind is serving God,

grant thy heart & soul, 'O' lord.

To lend one's hand,

for the impoverished & deprived,

The trees bear fruits & leaves,

whole heartedly serving thy beings,

Providing shelter to many,

seeking no favour is their irony,

Mountains still & the rivers flowing,

Providing water & from the enemies salvaging,

Troops stand firm on the borders,

keeping their lives on stake,

serve humanity, follow what their heart orders,

Doctors, teachers, policemen and cleaners,

Their heart & soul, selflessly offers,

A smile that lifts,

a hand that mends,

a kindness shared with strangers and friends.

Sewa is done without any gain,

It is selfless & so pure,

That eases heart & soul,

 leaving no pain.

Serving is a gift of love,

that claims no fame,

It is a humble act,

where there is nothing to loose and only gain..
