Self-worth

Difficult to define

Which is totally fine

It is self-worth

Realising which is hefty task

A question which we generally don’t ask

From school grades

To character shades

For most of us it emerges much later in life

But some die without a cry

It ranges from financial stability

To soul’s necessities

Self-doubt and low self-esteem are rocks in the way

Self-hate is also an integral part to its destruction by the way

An aim way high to achieve

But it’s totally on us how we perceive

In ups we don’t pay heed to it

But start craving for all the answers when situation demands it

Associate it with crazy professional career

And with family and friends who are very dear

Making the picture bit more not so clear

Driving it from rear

With each passing year, losing it bit by bit

Until your health takes a hit

Don’t you dare to address it

It’s not so eastern thing we practice

Still waiting for someone who will make us relish

And will serve life on platter to cherish

In quest wasting time like water

Importance of both we realise when we left with least to scatter

Unknowingly, state of stagnation reaches its pinnacle

Fail to relate to with this person anymore

Have to take the charge of gear

Want again to be the D with spear

It lies in the consciousness of now

It’s all about enjoying the journey

Realising the power of lioness, who stays in this body named den

It’s totally individual call about how and when

Still there are thousands more ways to go

Trillions of interpretations are waiting in the cue

It’s all about how we paint our soul in different hues

And, again and again, at every juncture of life we sit without any clue
