SEEKING FORGIVENESS

Sep 28, 2022

My uneasy heart was afraid

To admit that it engraved

All those scars on you

For which it went away cowardly.

I know you are tired,

But only your merciful hands

Can help me shed my leaves

And start a new chapter.

You can hold onto your grudge

I won’t complain or

You can help me

Lighten the weight of guilt

By letting me heal your scars.

It’s your choice and I hope

Your forgiving and gracious hands

Choose the one by which

We both can heal together.
