See My Power, And Find Your Strength

O, Arjuna, my dear friend so true,

Why does sadness cloud your view?

Your mighty bow, Gandiva's grace,

Now hangs so limp in this sad place.

Your brave heart, a burning light,

Now flickers low in this gritty fight.

These kin you face, a tangled line,

And doubt has caught your heart in twine.

"How can I strike? How can I slay

Those of my blood this very day?

My teachers dear, my elders known,

On this field of battle sown

For cruel war, a bitter cost.

My courage fails; my spirit's lost."

You speak the truth, but can't you see?

This body is just clothes, wild and free.

The real you lives, it cannot die,

It changes form as moments fly.

Like the sun comes up when night is done,

The true self lives, forever one.

Look closely, friend, with open eyes,

This big world turning in the skies.

See stars appear and worlds take flight,

And all of time within my sight.

[Krishna reveals his Viraataroopa to Arjuna]

Behold! My form, so big and grand,

Where every creature has its stand.

What was, what is, what will unfold,

Within my being, all is told!

These fighters here, their time is near,

Their paths are set, it's very clear.

You are just helping things along,

Where everything already does belong.

So let go of this worried mind,

Your duty waits, the path you'll find.

With strong heart and a spirit bold,

Let what is right your actions hold.

Get up, dear friend, and join the fray!

For truth and good will win the day!

Now take your bow, let courage bloom,

And step onto the battlefield's doom!
