Seclusion

By Meghaa Mundhra

Amidst the silence ,shadows silently creep,

Encircled with seclusion,a secret I keep.

Surrounded by familiar warmth, an embrace,

Yet solitude persists,an unknown trace.

In a fading laughter and a hollow song,

A feeling lingers that something's wrong.

Isolation, a silent scourge, my friend,

Refusing to let my scar amend.

Loved ones knit,a comforting array,

Yet a disconnect always seems to stay.

Loneliness seen as a silent tide,

In love's warmth, it still resides.

Yearning for understanding, a soul's appeal,

Yet drowning in the sea of silent conceal.

Beneath the laughter, a silent plea,

For someone to decipher the real me.

In the puzzle of relationships and ties,

Loneliness loiters, wearing a disguise.

A paradox unfolds in the social sea,

As I strive to break the norms,I see.

In the silence, reasons silently unfold,

Fear, insecurity, societal pressures told.

A flow of isolation, a complex devoir ,

Guided by doubts, I yearn for more.

So, in crowds I stand, shadows by my side,

Hoping for connection, a bond to confide.

Behind a mask of smiles, I often hide,

Yearning for a connection that is just pure.
