Seasons of Life

By Kavya Mehulkumar Mehta

The summer calls us

to visit her beautiful garden.

She makes me hate the heat,

but the flowers make it disappear.

When autumn visits,

leaves are shattered

and torn apart.

Autumn is one such cruel season—

even cats are quiet.

When the winter lingers,

leaves find their way back.

She provides comfort

like a mother’s hug.

And by the arrival of the spring,

flowers bloom like never before—

prettier than even summer.

A beautifully gentle poem that captures the changing moods of the seasons with such warmth and emotion. Each season feels alive, especially the contrast between autumn’s quiet sadness and winter’s comforting calm. The imagery is simple yet very touching, and the ending with spring feels hopeful and refreshing.

A lovely piece that flows like nature itself.

Your imagery is very vivid; the scenes stay in the mind.
