School Days
By Raghav Badrinath
In the morning bustle of the schoolyard's cheer,
Voices of friendship rang crystal clear.
Uniforms crisp, and bags weighed down,
We embarked on a journey in our little town.
Classrooms echoed with laughter and dreams,
Chalk dust swirling in sunlight's beams.
From first-day jitters to last bell's toll,
School days etched stories upon our soul.
Recess brought the joy of games on the ground,
Kabbadi, kho-kho, with friends all around.
Lunchboxes opened with love and care,
Sharing our treats, a bond beyond compare.
Teachers, our guides, with patience so grand,
Crafted our futures with a steady hand.
From Hindi lessons to math’s tricky sum,
Their wisdom and kindness would always come.
Teenage years brought a different stride,
Navigating studies with a surge of pride.
Whispers of first crushes, dreams in bloom,
Late-night study sessions, exams to loom.
Festivals and fairs, in vibrant hues,
Cultural days that chased away blues.
School trips and picnics, a world to explore,
Moments of joy that our hearts always store.
As we stepped out, diplomas in hand,
Life's vast canvas awaited, unplanned.
Yet, the memories of school never fade,
In the chapters of our lives, they’re beautifully laid.
Through life's journey, as we march ahead,
The school days’ laughter in our minds is spread.
For in those corridors, we learned to fly,
Crafting our destinies under the Indian sky.
