Saviour of None
By Bismay Rath
"Save me",
Fumbled the frail founder -
Seared were his sinuses, senses savaged,
Pulsing pangs of paternity asunder
Ropes of faith, hanged in fragility.
"Save me",
Cried the culling creator -
Weary of her wayward brood, lovable-lost lad,
Then screamed at shadows, emfeebled,
Thrashed and quelled by the unfaltering past.
"Save me",
Thus spake the successor,
Mortality mauls his futile pursuit
Of peace imagined, dreams and delusions:
A monster masked as mankind.
Eyes emanate unbearable clarity,
Unknown to all, forgotten to none;
He, a mortal in mind and matter
Treads along thoughts of inhumane thrall.
Solus, in his fury, scolds his impudence,
The molten moon condescends,
Few allies named, wings and tongues bound,
Justice vowed to them, head destined to hounds.
"Sleep forever, I shall,
None, shall I save,"
Heir to Prometheus, Babel nears its fall,
He laughs in laudable despair,
Pines for that telling touch-
His nerves end at the grave.
