Saviour Complex

My lack of boundaries will be my demise, Drowning myself to save a sinking soul. Not realising I've allowed chaos to rise, Sometimes the other person walks out just fine,

Leaving me behind in a space dark and cold.

No one to blame but myself,

Stories untold.

Is it not ironic

That the one who saves

Comes out more damaged

Than the one saved?
