I am the MOTHER

For every living being

Yet none bother

To care for my well-being!!

I am the home

For all sources,

Yet none value

My resources!!

Water, I had then, in abundance...

Now getting scarce!

Land in excess once...

Now, hardly any open space!

Man-made conversions

Affecting me

Resulting in repercussions

The world can now see!

Chopping trees,

For flyovers and skyscrapers,

No one sees

It's inviting dangers!!

Plastic plastic everywhere,

Oh! my biggest foe,

Landfills seen anywhere

Is indeed my woe!

Oh Man, time to act,

Before time runs

Accept the fact,

Once gone, nothing returns!!

Yes, I am Mother Earth

Pleading mercy

Realise my worth

Before things go nasty!

Time to save your Mother

For the new generation,

Stopping the blunder

Thinking of conservation!

Say bye to plastic,

Helping in afforestation

A Change so drastic

Work unitedly for the mission ...

SAVE ME,

SAVE YOUR MOTHER!
