The ultimate happiness

The war Kurukshetra was over and the triumph embraced Pandavas.

But, King Dharma was not happy.

He got down from the chariot and looked around, all his brothers, relatives were on the ground with wounds, and a few were without life.

He took a walk through the dead bodies and broke down in despair.

While he was walking through the dead bodies, A dog accompanied him. The King looked at its loyalty and felt great for its nature.

Suddenly, the sky roared fiercely, and the Pushpaka chariot appeared on the ground in front of the King Dharma with thunders and lights.

Lord Indra got down and said, ‘King Dharma, I’m here to take you to the heaven, for your sanctified activities in this birth. Take my invitation and join me.

King Dharma smiled at lord Indra, looked back at his brothers once, and walked towards the chariot with a heavy heart of the bloodshed that happened.

The dog which accompanied King Dharma also tried to enter into the chariot.

Lord Indhra stopped them both and said, “Oh! King, This chariot has one place to occupy, and I came here for you. However, you have the right to choose your destiny towards the moksha.”

King Dharma looked at the dog and stepped down without a second thought.

Indra went flabbergasted and asked king Dharma, “what’s wrong with you…? Moksha is the ultimate destiny of human life, and everyone is desperate about it. I’m here to offer moksha for everything that you have done. But, you are renouncing that for a dog. What else do you want other than this…?”

King Dharma smiled, “All I wished to get was satisfaction. I feel satisfied when I could fulfill the dog’s wish.”

“Yes, of course, I wanted to get moksha, I prayed for that too. But when I have no satisfaction in getting the moksha leaving the dog behind. I don’t want that superior stage of human life also.”

Lord Indra was overwhelmed by hearing his words. He felt great meeting such a human, blessed him to have a prosperous life, and left to heaven with the dog.

Here I conclude this story with a bottom line.

People are not satisfied with all the blessings they’ve got and always show despair about what they have not.

Its desire, the reason for despair. Greedy creates chaos in others' lives too. But, satisfaction fills infinite happiness.

The human is not satisfied with anything that he has and which is what destroying the whole world now.

I hope you all agree with this thing.

It is important to thrive for the development of science and technology. But, it is necessary to secure what we have already.

So try to live with satisfaction and live like a legend.
