Santa's Favourite

Listen Dear Santa,

There’s that girl behind the tree,

With glitter in her eyes,

Sparkling dreams set free.

It’s fine if your sleigh is heavy,

She needs no wings,

Stigmas that prey and levy,

Please disappear those things.

Did you get a dress?

She does not trust your fashion sense.

A doll, too many,

Only castles, no offence.

Can do with some peace,

And luxury in that order,

Your workshop might be a bit small,

Her wishlist of pre-orders.

Greed is a buzzword,

Rotting in yesterday’s dustbin,

Aspirations are more the flavour

Guess Christmas is your favourite.
