Sailing Away

Far beyond my eyes can see

but not far from my love’s sea

How beautiful is the thought of you!

How beautiful was the feel of you!

Are we drifting away?

Am I leaving you?

Are you leaving me?

There is a flow of inexplicable love in parting

Is this it?

Am I drifting away?

Your ship is still but the shore is washed away

far away from the ship

too far beyond the point before my birth

how I wish I never crossed that point

Far I go, deep I crawl

The long blast followed by two short blasts

Burst my thoughts through

Alas, I saw my love sail away

and our hearts sailed together, pray.
