Sailboat

Updated: Jan 23

By Yogesh Kumar Pradhan

Sailing through the mindless ocean of life,

With delusions that thrive,

fallacies that rive-

The good and the bad;

fallacies that rive-

The happy from the sad.

Them notions make your judgement hazy,

For these notions make a sane go crazy.

Heads up and see the delusions dancing

On the sail of your boat,

As the sail’s a scale balancing

Balancing between what your supposed to be-

(A man loved by all,

For he has seen no fall.)

And being what you are

With nothing abound, in blemishes drowned

A man beneath all,

For he has seen nothing but fall.

But above all blemishes, you are what you are .

With no one but you aboard;

Nothing but the depths around,

Amid these delusions that wither away

Your conscience and it but it surround,

Ask yourself amid your trip,

Are you the captain of your own ship?
