Sad Little Barque

We’re in the same boat, 

Yet I can’t see you. 

Perhaps the boat is too big, 

And somewhere hiding are you. 

But I can’t find the courage, 

To step out of my hiding, 

Comfortable in my old cage 

I am in my cage, dreamily wondering, 

When I hear footsteps, on the deck wandering. Maybe you’re one of those steps against the hull, But to step out how much I try, I just sit there dull.
