She stood behind his decision, even without him actually realizing,

She stood alone on those coldest nights when he was on guard.

Not for her, but for his family – she wasn’t set in that stone yet,

However, he didn’t rest even a blink – upset, she pushed him away.

Their love story was hidden behind a great epic.

Their love was tragic, awaiting a positive end.

She yearned for him more; he didn’t search for her upon return.

She sacrificed as much as his brother, though she was overlooked.

She had the palace at her hands – but his hands were the only place she longed to rest.

He spent days and nights on a rescue mission – the search was not for her.

Yet she stayed admirably strong for his return – these sacrifices are not old or new.

The modern-day army wife, Urmila, is still waiting, patiently looking forward.
