Roses

By Archismita Das

Roses are red,

Roses are bright;

With petals, so lovely,

A beautiful sight.

Though their thorns are sharp,

And their touch can hurt,

They stand in the garden

With their red skirt.

They flourish in different colors –

Red, yellow, pink and white;

With all their variety,

They shine ever so bright.

Roses are red,

Roses are fair;

Their sharp thorns remind us

Of their tender care.

Roses are charming

Roses have scent

They are just as beautiful

As the midnight crescent.
