Rooted Dreams

Look at the child

like a herb

for all our illnesses.

Blink of an eye

grown into a shrub

head full of wavy leaves.

Oh, my lil plant

dreaming to breathe

all the clouds around.

My young lady

longing of foreign lands

now rooted in her home.

Sending parts of her

off with water and bird

only feeling overseas breeze.
