Romancing The Mumbai Rains

Late summer of ’97 when the monsoon hits the shores of the Gateway,

We go hands intertwined as two bodies and one soul.

Though you can see a small abode of a one bhk,

You can feel a heart that welcomes anybody who comes with open arms.

Oh! It is such a wonder to see the mass,

Being engulfed by the trains that runs down the veins of the great city.

Though one can experience most of the cuisines of the globe,

Vadapav, pani puri and lassi at the chowpathy is one of the most memorable dates.

From this gigantic crowds we suddenly get lost in the seclusion of the jungles of Matheran.

Welcoming us the gentle beasts to whom my man gently declines with a nay,

Into the Misty jungles, lush green golf courses, onto the hilltops ,

We walk hand in hand.

Smoking toy trains and mysterious British era bungalows ,

Takes us to an entirely different wonderland.

On one beautiful sunrise with gleaming eyes and lots of dreams,

We descend towards our home where our beginning is yet to start.
