Romance of loneliness

Loneliness is not empty,

it is full.

A mirror of me, that I never knew it exists .

They said it was sickening to be weak, to sit alone in a world of serried souls, but no one told me

What iron must I forge into my spine?”, to hold on to my own.

I poured my own tea,

learned the shape of my own solitude, and in that silence,

I did not break —

I bloomed in red

Not lonely for the lack of other lamps, but luminous because I stayed behind. I fell in love with my own gravity. A quiet room. A solitary sun.

And that sweet nesting in my marrow's core is all the strength I’ll ever need to bear
