Roller Coaster

Remember I once told you about my fear of rides?

You held my hand and said, ‘come with me, you won’t be scared’. And then you took me on a wild-wild ride. The crazy speed and the rousing spin; the racing hearts, heavy breaths and the goosebumps on the skin. The uncovering of layers, touching the depths. The knots in my hair and smiles on our faces. The highs were tall, and the lows were deep. You taught me not to give it my all, but I still did. I wanted to give you some extra smiles and for me it was all worth it, because seeing you smile made my heart soar.

Just like all the rides, it was short and had to end. And now all I can do is remind myself to not be sad that it’s over, but to be happy that it happened.

Nevertheless, I strongly believe that its not entirely over. We will meet again. We have always been meeting, our paths have always been crossing. We will meet again, at a better stage, better timing and better space. You will hold my hand again and take me on another ride. This time, the ride will be longer. We will again touch many highs and lows together, holding hands firmly. We will create tiny witnesses of our love, who will fill our home with giggles and mischief. We will sing new songs, with our voices fusing, resonating in the ubiquity. This time, it will be…. forever!!
