May 19, 2076.
Ankita woke up to an untimely alarm and found it is only 3.22 A.M., the screen of the smart watch on her wrist blinked with a notification which read, “Good morning Ms. Ankita, today is May 19, 2076 Tuesday; the time is 3.22 A.M. You’re now on the time of the month and your menses has just started.” She let out a deep sigh and turned to look at her roommate Niral quietly sleeping rolled up like a baby. She has noticed the light from the streets lamps dimly entering through the window screen and did not want to wake her up as the AI is already available to extend her a help. In the moments gap the smart watch once again blinked now saying, “Put on your sanitary pads now, there is a bleeding already and your bed gets stained.” She then pulled the thin blanket over her lower abdomen and realized the thing. Now she puts all her strength, pushes the bed down with the arms and lifts herself to move out.
Ankita has turned on the voice notifications now and they would play inside her mind that nobody else could hear anything except her. Her personal AI mentor has guided her to the utility room through the hallway with lights turning on where Ankita is walking and walked her to closet where the sanitary napkins were kept and she spoke in female voice with British accent to Ankita, “Open the cupboard No.2 and pull the lower draw to find your sanitary napkins,” but the door slid to the right with voice command from the AI, and the voice came again even before she reached for the draw, “You have only three napkins left that wouldn’t even last till the end of the day,” now the draw rolled out with touch of her finger on the sensor.
Ankita replied, “Okay. I will order some.”
The AI guide spoke again, “Place an order with Minsera Medical Supplies. They’ve the same product you’re using now. Coordinates sent to your mobile.”
“But the Turkey Medicals is the nearest store and they offer lower prices,” Ankita replied while walking towards washroom and opening the cover to pull the sanitary pad.
“One of the residents in your cluster Ms. Miyora was already on menses from yesterday evening. Her husband Khetan Madhav has placed an order with Turkey Medicals to purchase the last four packets of the stock kept with them,” AI replied.
Ankita agreed with that and asked the AI to place an order for the sanitary napkins and the AI also notified the food she would eat for that day and the days coming.
Now she was slowly walked back to her bed and the lights turned off when Ankita walked past them. She is now triggered to sleep until the next alarm.
