Their envy drips from the sky

Piercing  through  her  flesh.

She pleads for them

to stop and show her some mercy.

But blinded by hatred,

they lit up her pyre.



The scorching orange flames 

reduce her to embers.

But in awe her enemies stood 

as they saw her regenerate.

For they never knew that she was a Phoenix

rising from her ashes was all she ever knew.
