Right there

I was right there finding it hard to believe that people can be nice sometimes. I was right there turning someone else’s guilt into my own. I was right there straining my eyes, trying to analyse something that happened ages ago.

I was right there when starting with a new line was much easier than erasing what was written on the previous one. I was right there when all that ‘foolishness’ started making sense.

Was it better when it was foolish?

Maybe repeating myself was foolish. Maybe being lost for words was foolish. Maybe not taking help even from myself was foolish. Maybe not being able to hear the ticking of the clock was foolish. Maybe giving more hints than taking was foolish. Maybe having faith but not being able to trust was foolish.

I was right there when the change seemed foolish to everyone.
