Lounging on his couch, he watched his father working with some papers. With the blink of his eyes, a desire hovered his mind. A desire quite intuitive to take birth in a son’s heart- to hug his father. But something pulled him back from doing so.
Lame excuses onslaughted upon his infantile desire.
“What if he, baffled, starts inquiring me? I can’t answer him. He’s working; he might get angry. I’ll find any appropriate moment to hug him.”
But emptying his mind he sprang up on his feet and walked towards him.
“Grandpa!!” a piercing voice of his grandaughter interrupted his flashback. A memorial drop fell from his misty eyes which cleared the gaze from hazy dull shinning golden figure to a dilapidated bloched watch, the only souvenir of his father, in his trembling hands. Beholding and endeavouring to rewind the watch in a hope to do the undone, he uttered in regret and despair
“I want to hug you, Father.”
