Relevance Of Content Writer In This Era Of Visual Media

As the generation changes, we can also see a major change in the interests of people going from reading books or articles to watching movies or videos about the same. Though it feels convenient but is it really how we think it is?

These days we feel that people are more interested in going through videos rather than reading content. But the truth is a little different. The written content still has more value because the core of any audio or video content is made through written material first. A good creator would always write down all their ideas and thoughts in an organized way in order to bring out the best of it while performing.

After the recent lockdown (because of covid 19 pandemic), almost everyone is becoming a “content creator”. But with these new ways of visual entertainment, we forget that all these creators actually prepare a written content first. While some of them write as well as perform themselves, some others are just great actors, and they are the ones who need a content writer to give them appropriate scripts to act on.

In earlier times, content was not given much attention as people adjusted according to their own imagination. But now all these videos are presented visually to the audience and they don’t need to use any imagination of their own. So along with the performance of its actors, the content also needs to be precise so that it reflects the message correctly.

Content writers are important in almost every field. From writing promotional articles on different websites to writing creative and luring television commercials, a written content is required to bring the impact intended by the artist. We cannot ignore the fact that a well written content is as important as the way it is presented.

A content writer makes the creation of all types of content more effective and efficient. A written material helps in overviewing it and make certain changes and edits, wherever required, easier. Along with that, a written material is also easier to understand and go through. Scanning the important parts through highlighted words becomes convenient, which is not possible while watching a video or listening to a podcast. Similarly, skimming through an article to know whether its useful or not is less time consuming than going through an entire video.

A content writer would always be needed because even when there is a fast-paced development and growth of visual media, people would still always find articles or magazines more soothing and calming to their creative cravings. Also, the work of a content writer is much more comfortable and cost efficient as compared to all the equipment and preparation demanded in an audio or video creation. Thus, a content writer holds its relevance even in this growing craze for audio and video content.
