Regret

Updated: Jul 17, 2025

By Kalyani Warrier

Sometimes, all you want to do is disappear forever

Every action and word you hear and see feels contrary to what you believe, however

Every lie told in this way makes you trust less

Every move that is taken differently makes you question all else

You give your best to believe in it all

You feel emotions to suppress the wrong ones, once and for all

Yet, you've met with disappointment and sadness

Your eyes start to lose trust in all the madness

All this time, you wanted to be so tight

So tight that it feels like you're entrapped and light.

But when that gets taken away from you

All you see is a bleak road ahead of you

You wish you did not come this far

To witness all the upsetting twists and turns of life so bizarre

Now, you're imprisoned in this life of disdain

To feel the nook and cranny of all the pain.
