Did the rains whisper to you

the melody of sadness?

or were you just fazed

by the possibility of a rainbow?

Did your dark thoughts

meander through the cerebral rifts,

cutting the edges of sense

or were you daydreaming again?

Look! you ruined your dress

the stains won't wash off this time,

tears will sear through any hope of sanity

drowning and choking and taking you along

cornered over a cliff,

fearing for life yet waiting for the push,

Oh the rush you get!

shamelessly sucking on the pleasures of pain

it hits you right in the gut,

convulsing and retching bouts of truth.

Did you break your nail,

while picking on that ice cold skin of yours?

they say you are tough

they say you love peace,

they say you thrive on chaos;

who knows, who cares, why bother

you are a walking paradox,

a contradiction gone right
