Reckoning of Gloom

Abandonment seems like a viable option

To settle in the cold darkness of gloom

The rays of sun are too bright

Need some shadows in my room

Can’t be a beacon of strength always

For I have my own faults

Don’t need any motivational quotes

Got a plethora filled in the vaults

Let the throne of purpose lie vacant for all effort is vain

Let’s choose the comfort of the darkness and abandon all the pain

If there’s a god you can rescue me

For I can’t seem to find my way back

Ignite the fire once again from the spark that never went cold

Give me control of my destiny on which I hardly have any hold

I guess the gods are busy, for their followers are wide

It takes time to go through the offerings and easy to let me slide

If I’m made in your image then I’m more capable than you think

I’ll write my destiny with not luck but with my hard work’s ink
