Rebirth

Of every hymns and poems there lived was a heart made of gold,

Of every melodies sung, of every tears shed, was a heart that shone and tore,

Heartbreak is a sin,

For one it replicates for another,

On and on till the only thing left behind is a heart made of dirt.

For one so in deep of another’s love,

Like roots that bind the soil for all their worth,

Like sugar is for the little ones,

Like flowers are for the buzzing friends,

For the person every honeycomb words are their holy words.

Like a soul that is on their dying breath,

Relieving the one thing that was once their world,

Inquiring like a madman for what was their purpose,

For every summer of love comes a cold dry winter,

And in the snow it is that a heart of gold is buried.

“Fear not”, the tiny snowflakes whispered,

For every grey clouds come the bright blue sky,

In morning lights when the spark of dawn is roused,

You’ll know twilight was no more than a dream,

Now cease your symphony of heartbreak and,

Like a raging phoenix it is that you will reborn.

Spread the wings and give a thunderous roar,

Glide through the winds and sing your song of victory,

For the tears you shed had now have you healed,

From the wilted leaves you become an alluring being,

From the ashes where you died you become a new you.
