Rearing Our Invisible Enemy

Feb 16, 2023

By Dr. Fasil Barkat

The pale little giant quiescent in vicinity

Keeps on quarrying to get old and stout

Never could I spot the horrid face

Till it breeds big and vast after piercing the anatomy

His paleness whispers deep into my soul

Thwarting my deeds to eat at ease

Ruthless I turn towards my blood

Veins turn dry and moisture has left

Whacking at doors for succor

Caught in the circle created by my own

Lands me in the state of skirmish to question my deeds

Nothingness is what creams my palm

To live for years has confined to days

Salt and sugar has no different taste

Atrocious voice of the giant is buzzing so loud

Rendering my state to ash and air
