Read between the lines

They saidFor words carry a deeper meaning

If you’re brave enough to understandThey said

Time heals everything

But I’ve learnt that time just hides everything-

Even the wounds we thought could never close

The past is like a shadow we can’t outrun

For healing is just another word for forgetting;

For forgetting doesn't erase the pain-

it's just how we learn to smile at what once broke us

The stories we tell hide secrets unseen

Hope still lingers in the spaces between

Lost in the quiet, empty spaces

Where light quietly grows between the traces.
