Ramu Goes to School
By Ritwik Das
With a backpack bright and shoes so small,
Ramu ventures forth, standing tall,
At four years old, his eyes so wide,
A world of wonders yet to bide.
The school bell rings, a cheerful sound,
He joins his friends, all gathered round,
With tiny steps, he finds his place,
A classroom filled with joy and grace.
His teacher smiles, her voice so kind,
She knows the magic he will find,
In stories, songs, and colours bright,
She leads him through the morning light.
The letters dance upon the board,
Each one a key, a secret stored,
Ramu learns to read and write,
His mind ignites with pure delight.
The playground calls with swings and slides,
He laughs and runs with giant strides,
The world a blur of fun and play,
In every moment, a new day.
Snack time comes, a treat to share,
With friends who show how much they care,
They sit and talk in tiny rows,
A bond that only childhood knows.
In art, he paints with vibrant hues,
A world imagined, skies and blues,
His fingers trace the dreams he sees,
A masterpiece with such ease.
Numbers turn to magic spells,
As Ramu counts and learns and tells,
The tales of one and two and three,
A journey into math's vast sea.
The final bell, the day’s end near,
He packs his bag, his heart sincere,
With hugs and waves, he says goodbye,
Till dawn returns, beneath the sky.
Back at home, he shares his tales,
Of adventures big and tiny scales,
Ramu's world, so fresh and new,
In school each day, he grows and grew.
A four-year old with dreams so grand,
Each school day takes him by the hand,
In every step, in every day,
Ramu learns and laughs and loves to play.
