The Sun burns at the top of my head,

warming up my body slowly.

But her hand in my hand feels cool.

Her smile warming up my heart,

Like a flowery summer breeze.

Spending time with her was paradise

She brought spring to my hot summer.

But her being at my side made me forget,

the wilting of freshness I couldn’t see.

And sure enough, my spring left me.

There is a muddy smell in the air.

Might have been hers, but not quite right.

It spreads through my head,

intoxicating my senses and throwing me back

through a humid wave of nostalgia.

The dark clouds gathering around the sky

mirror those in my heart, pregnant with emotions.

Lightning flashes and forks out in the dark,

the sky split asunder by the crack of thunder.

I imagine it to be the sound of my heart cleaving in two

Strong winds blow dust, stinging my eyes.

The first drops of rain fall on my face,

running down the tracks of previous tears.

The sky bleeds continuously on the outside.

Inside, my heart bleeds with a pulsating pain.
