Rainforest

Love is a tropical rainforest, a sprawling carpet of greens

A womb carrying seeds that germinate everyday

New babies are born with different colour, creed,

countenance, genes

The wild flowers defy its worldly name

hum a song of desires

and the sulking drought revives

A habitat of love is born for offspring to thrive

A piece of land where rustling of the leaves

and utterances of species

articulate a new language of silence, peace

and timeless hymns of harmony

The roars and grunts and growls are the ways

to vocalize feelings

of the cosmopolitan crowd

far from the madding men in cities

men at war, war with the world and within

war for power and penny

Men are drowned in agony!

Love is a tropical rainforest

Where dreams are never chained

Where land and water are not claimed

it belongs to each of them

Where promise of protection and shelter are kept

Assurance of safety from the threatening instincts of men

Assurance of everlasting freedom is given

Love is guaranteed at the helm!

There is fire in the belly of rainforest

that aims high

to impregnate the sky

And the sky reciprocates in plenty,

showers enough for the entire world

to applaud its being

an everlasting spring

The world needs more of this treasured thing!
