Rain Again

Everyday feels luke warm

Like it's always felt

Till I imagined the warmth

Of you

Every moment feels like melting icecream

(Ticking clock)

Like something

I'll lose forever

Every sight is like a mirage

A sublime temptation

Always elusive

Always ephemeral

Always retreating into the horizon

I don't know why I wanted

You to be here

In the first place

I don't know why the dreams

Meander down some

Alternate unreality

Of your hair

Under my hands

Like the grass caressed

By wind

The sun seeks answers for me

By peering into your bedroom

Every morning

Leaving you my warmth

(Like honey - like gold)

I know that the afternoon

Can be toasty

I am intense

I have never asked any less

I never will

The rain of the south west sky

Brings your fragrance

To my soil

(When will it rain again?)

And I know you're alive

And I know you

Just a little bit more

Every stranger looks like you

(On subway platforms)

They look at me with

Your deep eyes

Until they pass by

Every garden is full of roses

(When I love you)

Full of thorns

(In your absence)

I don't know why I wanted

To be loved by you
