Radiant Pour

By Ed Phrampus

Blackened skies and twisted realms

Raging winds and acrid smells

A world not imagined or seen

Nuclear waste the world's unclean

A barren waste of what used to be

Mountains crack and are now vallies

Purple acid water flows through the

old majesty.

Glowing radiated dragons breathing

gamma ray fire

Giant stinging flies can now suck

your blood

Carry your rad pills so you won't mutate

Morph into something you can not take

Searching for people in your faction

Most of the people can not be found

now living in bunkers built underground

What was lost can not be found

In this different world sights are unsound

If a seal breaks on the bunker door

radiation leaks in and death

is the score

Monitor the air quality all the time

You can't breathe radiation and easily survive

Electric storms and acid rain

Fall upon the earth that is in disdain

We must move forward because

we can't go back

Altered visions in a world gone whack.

Hazmat suits are the clothing decor

to protect yourself from the radiation pour
