Unreturned flame In the depths of my soul, a flame still burns,

A love unreturned, a lesson unlearned.

The memories of past love linger still,

Like thorns that pierce my heart with each new thrill.

The agony of unrequited love,

A weight that crushes, a wound that won't heal.

A darkness that clouds my every thought,

A pain that I can neither hide nor reveal.

Each day I wake with a sense of loss,

A longing for a love that cannot be.

I search for solace in the depths of night,

But find only emptiness staring back at me.

The moon above bears witness to my plight,

A silent observer of my endless fight.

The stars that twinkle in the sky above,

Of the radiant light that once outshone every star.

I know not what the future holds for me,

But I pray that one day I may be free,

Free from the shadows that haunt my dreams,

To liberate from the pain, where unreciprocated love streams.

Until that day, I'II walk this lonely path,

A journey filled with pain, but also hope’s aftermath.

For in my heart, a glimmer remains, A flicker of love that refuses to let go.

In my deepest yearning, a desire to understand,

Why love's imbalance left me grasping your hand.

Yet one question lingers down my throat,

why did you run towards her, while I sprinted for you?
