Questions Are Meant to Be Asked

2 years old post was getting re tweeted again. It was a story that was written by Dorothea who died a year ago. The reason why it’s being re tweeted because someone killed Frederic. One day, when Frederic and his wife Rebecca were returning home after watching movie, someone shot Frederic thrice in the chest. He fell on the ground and Rebecca got frightened to see what was happing. It happened so quick that Rebecca couldn’t understand what to do and got numb. Not even a single word was coming out of her mouth but finally she screamed “Frederic!” and began crying loudly. People gathered and helped Frederic to get him to the hospital but he died on the way. It happened so quick that Rebecca couldn’t understand what actually had happened and why it happened. Moreover, Rebecca and Frederic were going to marry next week. Police reached the hospital to write Rebecca’s report. Mack, a police officer began the investigation. Last late night someone re tweeted a post of Dorothea, which she posted almost 2 years ago and till 11 in morning almost thousand people re tweeted that post. Actually the post was a story of a murder of a social activist and his name was Frederic too and Frederic was also a social activist. That was the main reason why that post was getting re tweeted. Mack thought it was just a coincidence. An ordinary tweet has nothing to do with a murder. These were just the people who wanted to divert the matter for their political gain.

Mack was well aware of Frederic’s popularity and solving the case was not going to be easy. The first thing he did, he called Rebecca to his office to start the probe. He asked her if she doubts on anybody. Rebecca told him Frederic could have issues with many people as he had always been a center in any issue, whether it was standing against the government for fudging the data of tax they paid or whether it was about raising voice against criminal activities in the state. Almost one year back when an ex mayor was murdered by a ruling party member; it was Frederic who forced the government to take legal action against that person. Thus Frederic was not liked by many people and that could be a reason he was killed.

People decided to start peaceful protest to pressurize the government to find and hang the criminal as soon as possible because they didn’t trust government as he had always been against the wrong policies of government. These were the people with whom once Frederic stood when they needed him so now it’s their turn to stand for justice. Almost one month had passed since Frederic died and one day Rebecca went missing. Now the tension rose among the people. Peaceful protest turned into public outrage. Opposition too jumped into the matter and started asking for quick action from the government. After two days, Rebecca’s body was found at her previous residence. The protest turned more violent. People started burning police cars and public property. Government deployed army in the major cities where situation was getting worse.

When all this was happening in the major states of the country then came up a new political party and party was led by Maceath. Maceath previously was the member of communist party but

because of some inner conflicts in the party he left and now he had his own party. Maceath too joined the protest with people and started demanding justice for Frederic. Directly he was blaming the government for the unrest in the state. Slowly he succeeded in winning the heart of the people. People who were the great admirer of Frederic and who were true followers of Frederic found their new leader in Maceath. When the tension was going on in the major cities; again a new post of Dorothea goes viral. Almost 30k people re tweeted that story which was about the death of a lady who was demanding justice for her dead husband from the government. This story caught the heat. People started comparing the story with the death of Dorothea.

People lost their trust in the government; started asking for the resignation from President. Almost 1500 people died in the protest, many cities burned to the ashes. And that was not all. Maceath decided to lead the protest to the residence of President. The residence was surrounded by the army so they were stopped 200meter away from the entrance. There Maceath represented the protesters gave an aggressive speech,

“A single responsible statement from the president could change the whole thing but he decided to stay quiet and that is not enough. He also defended the brutality of police over citizens. Mr. President says that only we are responsible for the chaos around the country and now it’s our responsibility to remind Mr. President what his responsibilities are.”

Realizing the popularity of Maceath among people, opposition joined hand with Maceath. They said, the protest won’t stop until they get justice for Frederic and resignation from the government. The investigation was not getting anywhere which resulted in mob lynching of Mack, the police officer who got the charge of Frederic’s murder probe. One day when he was going back to his home, a mob attacked his car and killed him and in others states too, people started attacking police stations. Due to which several police officers lost their lives. Finally the government fell and Maceath came in power. But between all this the murder case of Frederic and Rebecca went fade. Although, it was the main reason for the fall of the government and revolution around the country but soon people forgot about the Frederic and Rebecca.

Many leaders, who were in charge previously were arrested for the rites in the country and sentenced to death. One name that caught the attention of the people was the name of Mr. President. He was arrested and brought in front of the parliament for the punishment. Maceath, who now was the president, invited many people from various states to witness the punishment he was going to give to the former president of the country. People in thousands reached outside of the parliament. Maceath addressed the people,

“Being the president of this great democratic country, you have given me the opportunity to serve you and give you the atmosphere where you all can live without any fear. As you all know what happened to the people who were responsible for what happened in our country and all accused are given the reward what they deserved. But only one person is left to get his reward

and it’s my duty to give him his prize and the person who’s going to get the prize is none other than, your former President.”

4 men brought ex President to the stage. His face was covered with a black cloth. When the cloth was removed, people were shocked to see that his both eyes were gouged and blood was running from his eyes. Maceath ordered his men to behead the former president.

“This is our first step to make our country great again. This is the message to all the people who want to break our country.”

When everybody had forgotten about writings of Dorothea, somebody wrote a parody of her famous novel “The True Picture” and name of that boy who wrote and got published that parody was Charles, he was a college student. He belonged to Tanzian, tanzian were actually the people who were left in this country after the pact was signed between three countries to decide the boundaries of the countries. For ages they had been facing the discrimination but their situation got better since 15 years. After the parody published, tanzians were again under the lime light. Because of this parody “The true Picture” of Dorothea again caught the attention of the citizens. That novel was actually about the true picture of revolution; how in the name of revolution some people created the chaos in the country and finally occupied the throne. The parody of Charles was direct attack on Maceath government. And the reason behind this parody being written was the wrong doings of Maceath. Since Maceath came in power, people were provoked against tanzians which resulted in discrimination. Not even a single media house was showing what tanzians were going through; instead the media was spreading hatred among people against tanzians.

When Maceath came to know about this he asked the police to arrest him but Charles flee away. Thus family members of Charles were arrested and killed. To justify the murder of Charles’ family member, Maceath delivered a message through radio and all other media channels where he addressed the people and justified the act against Charles. And people too blindly trusted the government. They began thinking that tanzians are really their rivals and as soon as possible they should be wiped out from the country. To put more hatred in the minds of the citizens, Maceath planned a terrorist attack in the capital and blamed tanzians for that. After that government passed a bill in which it was stated that all those who don’t belong to this country would lose their citizenship and will be sent to centers where refugees are kept. This bill was particular for tanzians. To oppose the bill, tanzians came out. It started with the peaceful protests but soon turned violent and somewhere the party workers of the ruling party that made the peaceful protests violent. Which later resulted in riots in the country and every single person started blaming tanzians for the unrest in the country and began demanding strict action against them. Finally Maceath got the opportunity what he was waiting for so long. Government forced tanzians to be slaves and locked them in the concentration camps. In those camps tanzians were being reeducated and brainwashed. Slowly they lost their true identity and forced to be atheist. Women were sterilized to make sure they don’t have children. The children too were reeducated.

In small doses, their religious activities were banned. They could not do any religious activities, and bit by bit they lost their true identity. People who opposed were put into the burning flames and turned into ashes.

However, Charles was still missing, Maceath was very well aware that Charles could be a big threat to his reign. But Charles was hiding at the place where nobody could find him. He was hiding at the farmhouse of Maceath’s close friend, Patric, who was also the party member of Maceath government. Patric too was fed off the wrong doings of Maceath. Before Maceath came into power Maceath promised him to create better environment in the country but after seeing him damaging the image of the country and brutality against the tanzians he realized the true intentions of Maceath and that was the reason Patric was helping Charles. As no media was showing the true picture of Maceath, Charles decided to create a connection between Dorothea and Frederic. Firstly Charles did viral the posts of Dorothea where she praised Frederic several times on twitter. Secondly, he decided to provoke the people to lift the ban from “The True Picture” novel by Dorothea and because of the pressure from various organizations government had to lift the ban from the book, later made connection between “The True Picture” and his parody. However Charles parody was banned too but multiple people had already bought that. Thirdly, he got some pamphlets printed and dropped into the houses. Seeing the trends against the government’s doing on social media, Maceath decided to ban all the social media apps in the country and launched substitutes which will be wholly controlled by the government. Moreover, CCTV cameras were installed everywhere in the streets take control on the activities of the people. Soon people realized what they did wrong to put Maceath in the power.

Eventually, Maceath showed its true color and when next elections were about to come, he declared that there will be no elections in the country ever. And the big democracy turned into totalitarianism. Whoever tried to raise his voice against the government was charged with sedition and finally people realized the concern of Charles. When Charles had lost all his hope, he got many people in support. In disguise he came in contact with many parties and started planning for the final revolution. First they decided to contact with all the fields those were linked with the government or which were the great source of money for the government. It was the idea of the Charles if government ran out of money and every single employee strike. Two, three hundred people could be suppressed, even thousands of people could be suppressed but what if people in millions strike and came together and revolt against the government. Every time he was communicating with the people through pamphlets as all the networks were under the control of the government. Patric knew what was going in the head of Charles and he was ready to do anything to save his country.

On the day of independence, people in millions came out on the roads but Charles and Patric had their own plan. Looking at the anger of the people towards the government, Maceath decided to conciliate the matter with Charles. He invited Charles to the parliament. Charles accepted the invitation. The parliament was surrounded by the people and police personnel had barricaded to stop people. Charles reached at the parliament to have a talk with Maceath. Maceath offered him

great money and even promised to release tanzians from the concentration camps. But Charles was not ready for any deal. Left with no other option Maceath gave him threat of killing him and all the tanzians in the camp. When Maceath was about point his gun towards Charles; his guards took out their guns and pointed against Maceath. Finally Patric took out his gun and shoot Maceath in the chest thrice. Saying, “you too Patric” he fell onto the floor and died. They came out to meet people and give them this good news. Charles took the PA from an army personnel and addressed people,

“Eventually people get what they deserve. The price is always meant to be paid and Maceath paid that too.” Charles took the gun from Patric and showed to the people, “Three bullets was the price he paid and I am grateful that Maceath’s close friend Patric was the person who rewarded Maceath with the honor of death. But still I am not happy with this outcome of revolution. Actually I am angry instead because you all are responsible for what you’ve been through. It was always your choice and it will be. Because all you choose to be blind, you all choose to be dumb and you all choose to be deaf. It’s always your fault. People like Maceath rules on you because of your stupidity and there will be more people like Maceath in future waiting to make you all fools again. Not even a single person in you all remembers about the death of Frederic and Dorothea, like who liked him and why he was killed. And what if I tell you the person who killed Frederic and Dorothea is still alive and is present here listening to all this.”

Everyone was amazed to hear this. Suddenly Charles took the gun out and shot Patric thrice in the chest. He died on the spot. People were confused over what just happened then Charles said,

“Patric was the person who killed our Frederic and his faience Dorothea. When Mack, the police officer who was probing the case got to know that Patrice killed Frederic, Patric planned his mob lynching. He always wanted to be on the throne but when he got failed and his chance snatched by Maceath, he started planning to get rid of him and joined me. And this is what happens when you trust someone blindly, when you stop asking questions from your government, when you decide to be ignorant and think it won’t affect you. If your neighbor’s house is on fire, don’t assume that the fire won’t your house. Learn to stand for each other.”
