Question..?

By Vanshi Desai

“If I ask you for a secret, do you promise not to lie like you always do?”

“I won’t lie.”

“Did you ever like me?”

“That’s a dumb question. Obviously, I loved you like it was breathing. I loved your boyish smiles and the way your eyes lit up when you talked about something you loved. I loved the slope of your neck and the mole on your upper lip. I loved it when you only considered my opinions on important things, and I loved it when you said my name in that deep voice of yours. I loved your laugh, and I loved making you laugh even more. I loved our late-night conversations, and I loved how you listened to all my favourite songs. I loved our inside jokes, and I loved when you got jealous. I loved it when you whined for my attention, and I loved it when you called me your best friend. I loved you too much to lose you. I loved you too much to fathom a life without so I never told you I loved you because I would rather have you in my life and love you from afar than not have you at all. Nevertheless, I lost you and damn me if I didn't wish I had told you how I felt before we stopped talking. did not like you, you idiot."

"You lied again."
