Prosopagnosia

I blank out,

Every time I see someone,

Their identity raises a doubt,

For they are always unknown.

Although this illness is out of my control,

It hurts to see the people I love,

Act so astonishingly tough,

For I cannot recollect the whole.

It kills me for failing to identify my birth giver,

Makes me feel lonely and I shiver,

I patiently wait for the day,

When I can finally feel my warm home along the way.
