Promise, I WON'T TELL

I haven’t shed a drop yet

Sadness or remorse

Nothing, I let to be felt

Maybe am afraid

Of Those emotions who’d help me escape

Or maybe I am still waiting

You to one last time ring the bell

Please, I promise to no one I’d tell

For the winter which you planned

Barbeque on the grill

For the summer you lingered

Our picnic beside the lake near old mill

Its okay visit the backyard at night

I’d tell no one under the city light

For one last time, cover my eyes

In hope for a surprise

For the last time let me listen

To all the sports you talk

For once, I promise

I’d never ask you to stop

Let’s take that last shower

Forget in our convos passing no. of hours

One last kiss after tiring day of work

While I am focussed on a romantic jerk

It is not fair, we asked together

And confirmed our forever

You cant find an exit clause

Cannot leave me midway,

Leaving me alone in our lows.

I wont forgive you ever

But still come for a moment

I’d gather my anger and yell

And also promise to no one I’d tell

Was last night that really you

When I felt that warm whisper

“Good night, I love you!”

Or had I imagined it since forever

Was it ever really true?

If you visit me for one last time

I promise I’ll forgive you

That you gave up on yourself

Without the disappointment, I’ll plainly miss you

Just for the last time ring the bell

And I promise to no one I’d tell.
