Prayer For The Gentle One

Beloved Universe,

keeper of all tenderness,

hear this quiet wish from my heart.

As my fire rises,

as my anger speaks and storms awake,

wrap him in silence.

Wrap him in light.

Let no sharp word, no heavy flame

touch the soft garden of his being.

Let him remain

pure as morning dew,

light as breath,

safe in his own dreams.

May my rage become a sword

that guards him

not a wind that shakes his roots.

May my wildness teach him courage,

but never fear.

May he know only

the gentle warmth of my love,

even as I burn bright,

even as I rise alone.

Protect his softness,

his sweetness,

his quiet light.

Make him strong

Mostly for ALL THE GOOD MEN

In my blessed life.
