Polymorphic Corona

O devil pathogenic creature!

Your polymorphic existence,

Of course, from time immemorial,

But factually perishable and even ephemeral

Such is the capacity of yours.

Oho! It’s you– “Maya Maha Thaginee”!

Both true and false at the same time

True, because you exist;

False, because you have been transforming

And dying for ages.

You arrogantly keep demonstrating– ‘nothing except me’

You, the minute noxious non-dualist– my next-door dweller

Too unified to distinguish and bifurcate

Huh! Only the avoidance and disregard will

Suffice you– the rascal.

You, the nefarious one, try to be universal,

But in vain.

In fact, it doesn’t matter

The devils have always been overthrown.

The wilful idiot! You jump and dance clumsily and ridiculously.

Dare not approach my imposing armour

That’s the best I own.

Anyhow, your destiny will be brought to your knees and finally annihilated.

Well, what planet are human beings on?

Whenever mankind has been threatened,

An incarnation has manifested through the populace itself,

Who marched crushing you– the wicked oppressor,

Under their unfatiguing feet

All three worlds of yours, including your arrogant head

Have once again been measured by the ‘Vamanas’

How miserable and wretched you seem

Under the pedalling feet of Jyoti.

Rolled over were you– the corona, the oppressor

Under the cycle- girl’s tyre

Her indomitable spirit rose to the occasion

And came out the winner

Ah! What a glorious moment for mankind

Ha-ha! You poor thing.

It’s a keen love and affection for his granny

That urged the ten-year-old Romeo Cox

To make the epic journey, risking his life

For the contentment of an ecstatic hug

The toil paid off with a beatific ceremony

It’s human beings– God’s best creation,

And not you, the mingy,

Who could think about benevolence

For the vulnerable children and migrants

Even while they themselves were suffering from disasters

Wow! Here, the breezy and transparent and cool canopy over my head

The vagabond clouds swirling in the crimson sky,

Satellites orbiting in space–

Free-spirited, lively.

A shadow danced with me,

Abolishing your filthy, out-worn and forlorn colonies.

Tomorrow, roses will bloom on the levelled ruins-

Spring has come– the more, the merrier!

Aha! My swinging, my whistling and my glee

With all excellence and beauty,

My existence is being rejuvenated and made eternal

By nectar that nourishes the soul.

Idiot! What can stand upright and linger any more

Before the yearning for the life of humankind?

Go to hell, Corona–be gone!

NOTES

1. According to Kabir: The great cheater woman with her various virtual and alluring forms in the material world seems real, but is just an illusion meant to trap.

2. Advaitvadi: One, without a second

3. Vamana: The fifth incarnation of Lord Vishnu
