Platonic

By Arvind Khadse

A Rose for Rose,

Is only poetry not prose,

With you in my mind,

I keep my eyes close,

To watch you smile,

I would walk a mile,

But with you in my heart,

My blood flows like river Nile,

You blush like a perfume,

Leaving your scent around,

Even after you have left,

Your aroma stays on ground,

To love you my Rose,

Is like opening every petal of your heart,

But with you in my dreams,

Is like a bouquet filled with Art,

To love another flower,

Will be my greatest crime,

When I touch your velvet skin,

I feel reborn every time,

Your eyes sparkle like dew drops,

Glittering in morning sun,

When I kiss you lips with passion,

I feel my whole body burn,

You are a glowing bud now,

Slowly Opening into pearls,

I've been waiting for many ages,

Just to watch your blooming curls,

First I was afraid to touch you,

With thorns hanging around,

When you rested your head on my shoulder,

Our rhyming hearts made same sound,

You can't be with me forever,

And I know that it’s a lie,

To live in hearts we stay behind,

It’s called eternal love and not die,
