Pieces Of You

By Devdutt Tandel

Pieces of you

That you showed me

Made me feel wanted

And seen

And desired

And even made me feel stalked

But I enjoyed all of it

In the small talks we had

Infrequent

But full of energy

That I could almost touch

But I couldn’t

So I was trying to seek

The pieces that you

Didn’t reveal

In the prettiest guys

And their eyes

But I couldn’t

Feel you

Maybe a trick

Or insecurity

And though

We might not be the forever

But

What we had is forever
